megabien interview with Joe Cocker
President & CEO, Hans W. Stachowiak met with Joe Cocker at the Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood to shoot an interview for the “Billy Preston Special”.
Megabien produces a documentary about the life and musical achievements of Billy Preston, including footage from his last TV show concert “Legends Rock” on the island of Porquerolles in the south of France. Joe Cocker, who just finished the recordings of his new album at the Sunset Sound, remembered Billy Preston as a kind of musical genius with a very unique and personal style of playing the Hammond organ. His interpretation of Billy Preston’s song “You are so beautiful” is still a highlight in Joe Cockers long-term career. The Billy Preston Special may include additional interviews with artists such as Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Sam Moore, Aretha Franklin who crossed the way of Billy Preston at some time……

Billy Preston passed away
The fifth Beatle, Billy Preston, passed away. The message was a shock for all of us who have assisted his concert, interview, rehearsals etc. at our recent Legends Rock show on the island of Porquerolles in the south of France.
We lost a fabulous musician, songwriter and a good friend. We all still remember his extraordinary version of "Amazing Grace"and "Thats the way God planned it" he played that magic night in Porquerolles that went straight into our hearts. The megabien team will always remember you Billy, as a wonderful musician and great artist.
